Nicole Weniger, geboren 1987 in Innsbruck (AT), studierte Transmediale Kunst (Brigitte Kowanz) sowie Kunst und kommunikative Praxis und Textil - Freie, angewandte und experimentelle künstlerische Gestaltung (Barbara Putz-Plecko) an der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien.
Weniger entwickelt an der Schnittstelle von Fotografie, Installation und performativer Geste eine künstlerische Praxis, die Fragen nach Identität, Zugehörigkeit und räumlicher Verortung verhandelt. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen in Landschaften im ökologischen, politischen oder symbolischen Umbruch und setzen auf temporäre Eingriffe, die dokumentarische Präzision mit erzählerischer Offenheit verbinden.
Sie arbeitet als freischaffende Künstlerin im Bereich Fotografie, Installation und Performance. Als Dozentin ist sie unter anderem für das ./studio3 am Institut für experimentelle Architektur and der Universität Innsbruck, dem bilding, Kunst- und Architekturschule in Innsbruck, und dem AzW, ArchitekturzentrumWien, tätig.
Ihre Arbeiten wurden bereits auf der Photofair New York, ParisPhoto, Düsseldorf Art, SWAB Barcelona und unter anderem in Einzelausstellungen in Kapstadt, Mailand und Belfast gezeigt.

Nicole Weniger, born 1987 in Innsbruck (AT), studied Transmedia Art (Brigitte Kowanz) and Art and Communication, Textiles - Free, applied and experimental artistic design (Barbara Putz-Plecko) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
Weniger develops an artistic practice at the intersection of photography, installation, and performative gesture, exploring questions of identity, belonging, and spatial orientation. Her works emerge from landscapes undergoing ecological, political, or symbolic transformation and relyon temporary interventions that combine documentary precision with narrative openness.
She works as a freelance artist in the fields of photography, installation, and performance. She teaches at institutions including ./studio3, the Institute for Experimental Architecture at the University of Innsbruck, bilding, the art and architecture school in Innsbruck, and AzW, the Architecture Center Vienna.
Her work has been exhibited at Photofair New York, Paris Photo, Düsseldorf Art,SWAB Barcelona, and in solo exhibitions in Cape Town, Milan, and Belfast, among others.
