Die Skulpturen „Fetzen Selfie“ spielen zum einen auf den Mythos des Narziss an und thematisieren zum anderem das neue Dogma „Ich fotografiere und dokumentiere, also bin ich“, welches den alten Leitsatz „Ich denke, also bin ich“ abzulösen scheint. Die Arbeiten konzentrieren sich um das Konzept der Abwesenheit und Anwesenheit und erforschen wie bestimmte Orte und Gegenstände an etwas erinnern können, das einmal anwesend war. Was bedeutet es wirklich anwesend sein und wie kann ich mich an einem Ort verewigen?

The sculptures “Scrap Selfie” play on the one hand with the myth of Narcissus and thematize on the other hand the new dogma „I photograph and document, so am I“, which follows the old motto „I think, therefore I am“. The work is focused around that concept of absence and presence and explores how certain places and objects can remind of something that was once there. What does it really mean to be present and how can I immortalize myself in a place?
