Das 1959 im Zuge des Nachkriegsaufschwungs errichtete Wattener Alpenbad (Tirol, Österreich) wird zur temporären Ausstellungsstätte. Mit dem Ende der Badesaison 2018 entzieht ORTSGESCHEHEN 2018 den Ort seiner ursprünglichen Funktion. In der Leere des stillgelegten Schwimmbads entfalten sich künstlerische Interventionen zum Thema ‚Schonzeit‘.

The Wattener Alpenbad (Tyrol, Austria), built in 1959 during the post-war economic boom, is transformed into a temporary exhibition venue. With the end of the 2018 swimming season, ORTSGESCHEHEN 2018 removes the site from its original function. In the emptied swimming pool, artistic interventions unfold around the theme of ‘Schonzeit’ (closed season).
